Creamy Chicken Bake Recipe

 




Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley or thyme (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  3. Sear the Chicken:

    • Heat olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add chicken breasts and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Creamy Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
    • Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
    • Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Assemble the Bake:

    • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them.
    • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Bake:

    • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme.
    • Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
