Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley or thyme (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Chicken:
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
Sear the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken breasts and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Creamy Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
Assemble the Bake:
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.
Bake:
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
