Recipe for Bang Bang Chicken Bites

Components of the chicken:

Two skinless, boneless chicken breasts, sliced into small pieces
One cup of buttermilk
One cup of all-purpose flour
Half a cup of cornstarch
One teaspoon of salt
Half a teaspoon of black pepper
Half a teaspoon of paprika
Half a teaspoon of powdered garlic
Half a teaspoon of onion powder
One egg, whisked, and vegetable oil (for cooking)
Regarding the Bang Bang Sauce:
Half a cup of mayonnaise
Half a cup of spicy sauce
One tablespoon of Sriracha, according to personal taste
One tablespoon of honey
One teaspoon of optional lime juice

Directions:

Step 1: Let the chicken marinate
Transfer the chicken pieces to a bowl and cover them with the buttermilk. Give them at least half an hour to marinate, or up to two hours in the refrigerator.
Step 2: Get the breading ready
Combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder in a separate bowl.
Beat the egg in a separate basin.

Step 3: Coat the chicken and fry it.
In a deep skillet, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat (350°F/175°C).
For added crispiness, dip each piece of marinated chicken in the flour mixture, then the beaten egg, and finally the flour mixture again.
Cook the chicken in batches for three to five minutes, or until it is cooked through and golden brown. Remove and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Create the Bang Bang Sauce in Step Four.
Combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, and sweet chili sauce in a small bowl and stir until smooth.

Toss and Serve in Step Five
Serve the Bang Bang sauce as a dipping sauce alongside the crispy chicken bites, or toss them in it.
Add sesame seeds or chopped green onions as a garnish, then dig in!
